Wind-blown and studying their Rule Books, Barb and Ruth greeted the ladies as they registered for the Zone 5 Annual Rules Clinic at Olympic View Golf Club. In addition to this major Clinic other mini Clinics were previously conducted at Gorge Vale, Victoria, Highland Pacific and Cordova Bay Golf clubs.
Debbie Needham our Rules Chair, and her merry band of Rules Referees, Trevor, Alison and Lee, provided concise instruction for the Rules of Golf and brought us up-to-date with any new or pertinent changes. Trevor started the morning off with a Power-Point video which reviewed the basics before heading outdoors for specific instruction covering: Teeing Area, Bunkers, Penalty Areas and Greens.
On completion of the outdoor event, 73 ladies, plus volunteers and Committee members, returned to the ballroom to warm up with a lovely choice of soup, salads and sandwiches.
