A lovely surprise for a lovely lady as Margaret Rogers of Arbutus Ridge Golf Club was presented with the 2017 – Zone 5 Volunteer Recognition Award at Arbutus Ridge’s Awards Night. Long time friend and club member, Diane Cook, did the honours, listing the many Club and Zone positions Marg has held (over 16 years), plus the numerous Zone, BC Golf and Golf Canada events to which she has volunteered.
A further surprise was the attendance of daughters, Cheryl & Donna who live on the Island. Unfortunately, daughter Lynda, visiting from Detroit, was unable to change her plans to stay over for the festivities.
Four members of the Zone Committee traveled up the Malahat to surprise Marg and enjoy the beautiful dinner.
Congratulations, Marg, the Award is well deserved.
