Congratulations to Emma Kral of Olympic View on the receipt of the Junior Player of the Year Cup as presented by Carol Thompson, Zone 5 Junior Chair on November 25, 2025.
Born in Victoria, Emma currently attends Royal Bay Secondary School and is in Grade 10. Awarded the Gryphon Award (Student of the Year) September 2024 – June 2025, and if golf and school work didn’t take up most of her time, she has also volunteered at her home club helping in weekly Summer and Spring Break camps for the last 3 years.

May 1st – May 4th – Golf Canada Nextgen Pacific Championship
At Ledgeview Golf Club (T17)
May 17th – 18th – Zone 5 Junior Girls Championship
At Gorge Vale – Low Net Winner – Made BC Junior Team to Nationals
May 22nd – 24th – Represented Team BC at the North Pacific Juniors in Washington State
At Capitol City Golf Club – Even Par (T4)
July 1st – 4th – U19 BC Junior Girls
At Gorge Vale – shooting 75-73-75-75 (+6) – Zone Competition Champions
July 21st – 25th – Travelled to New Brunswick for the Canadian Women’s Amateur
Aug 11th – 16th – Canadian Junior Girls
At Sainte Marie, Quebec. Represented Team BC in the inter-provincial division and were winners.
Also made the cut after 2 days.
Aug 18th – 21st – Placed third at U17 Juveniles
At Arbutus Ridge Golf Club – shot 77-76-72 (+9) winning the Better Ball Division with Luke
Bernarkevitch (-20).
Aug 23rd – 24th – Olympic View Overall Junior Club Champion (72-72- Even Par)
Looking ahead, Emma is already laying plans for the future should a career in golf be secondary; perhaps a good University and hopefully Medical School as well – maybe a Pediatrician, but right now, golf is tops on the list.
