CEO Laurence Applebaum of Golf Canada is suggesting to golf clubs across Canada that they close to protect staff and members from the COVID-19 virus. His official statement can be read on the BCGA web site britishcolumbiagolf.org.
GOLF CANADA has also cancelled all participation in Summer Olympics and Paraolympics.
GOLF CANADA has also cancelled or postponed all of its official events up to mid-May.
BCGA is providing conference calls where meetings are necessary – AGM March 28th. Decision on playing Men’s/Women’s Mid-Amt at Gorge Vale starting May 25th will be made 30 days in advance.
Many of our own Zone 5 Clubs are totally closed (course included) or non-members are not permitted entrance to their clubhouses. Phone first before making a visit.
