- The Ladies Field Day Committee gathered on October 22, 2024 for the presentation of their cheque to Carley Wachtin of Victoria Hospice. This year’s donation amounted to $21,615. Over the years, the ladies have raised over $290,000 for Hospice. The Committee is led by Coordinators Doreen Hall and Carol Thompson with grateful thanks to Laird Wright, Director of Golf at Cedar Hill and the many volunteers, men and women. Well done !!!

2. Congratulations to the COWICHAN LADIES who held their Ladies Open on July 7, 2024, with 86 participants. They donated $500 to each charity this year based on the support received from gift baskets, not from the entry fees (Cowichan Hospital Foundation, and the Cowichan Valley Hospice). This is the second year they were able to support local charities and each year the Ladies Committee reviews local charities that are in need.
Additionally, the Cowichan Ladies League (separate from the Ladies Open) also donated once again to Kids Sport BC ($500), Nourish Cowichan ($500), and the Cowichan Valley Food Bank ($500).

3. UPLANDS GOLF CLUB
The HEART TOURNAMENT has now run for 47 years. This year $100,000. was raised for Cardiac care at Royal Jubilee Hospital. A Sonosite PX Ultra Sound was purchased. Congratulations to the members of Uplands for another very successful year.
