O n April 8th, Junior Chair, Kathy White, gathered together new and current Junior Girls for the annual Meet & Greet. It was nice to see a number of parents joining the group. Doreen Hall of Cedar Hill Golf Club spoke on the new program Cedar Hill has instituted to include both girls and boys.
Unfortunately the Vancouver Island Championship to be held Sunday, May 7th at Nanaimo Golf Club, has been cancelled. A FUN DAY at The Ridge on Saturday, May 13th is next, followed by the Zone 5 Championship which will take place on June 10th & 11th at Royal Colwood Golf Club. Get your entry in NOW!!!!
Akari Hayashi, Uplands, is the defending Zone 5 Amateur Champion. This tournament begins June 5th at Highland Pacific, with final play on June 6th at Gorge Vale.
