Along with seven others, Alison was inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame at Bear Mountain Resort on October 27, 2018. Already a member of numerous Halls of Fame, including the Canadian, this one was particularly sweet as the past and present athletes are from a variety of sports, along with coaches and builders of multi-sports.

Alison started golfing in Ottawa at age eight, winning numerous club and provincial awards in Ontario and Quebec over the next 29 years. She moved to Vancouver in 1998, and as a result of spending many weekends in Victoria, she joined the Victoria Golf Club. In her speech, Alison had many people to thank who have been her supporters over the years, from family and friends to her competitors and club mates, along with the golfing organizations that have provided the opportunity to hone her skills. Alison’s accomplishments are too numerous to mention and no doubt there will be more awards in the future to expand the trophy case. Alison’s achievements and picture will now be featured in the Save-On-Foods arena, on the main floor.
Congratulations, Alison
