The Zone Committee is pleased to announce that Carol Thompson has joined the group as Zone Chair. Carol is a member of Cedar Hill Golf Course and will complete the 2018 – 2019 term left vacant by the resignation of Marianne Hunt in January. Marianne now resides in the Summerland area.
Carol has held many positions at Cedar Hill from Ladies’ Captain, 2 terms on the Board of Directors, and co-coordinator of the Cedar Hill Field Day in aid of Victoria Hospice, to name just a few. She was recently recognized by the BC Principals & Vice-Principals Assoc. with their Partnership Award for her outstanding work with the children in the Caribou/Chilcoten Region to produce such programs as the Lion King and The Jungle Book. Her many hours travelling, sewing the many costumes needed, making props, then pulling it all together, were great successes and the Award was well deserved.
Carol is a welcome addition to the Committee and we look forward to lots of laughs and good work with a dedicated leader.
